I am running as an Edmonton Public School Board Trustee Candidate in Ward E. 

Here is a little bit about me from my website:

"Heather believes trustees excel when they are responsive to the ideas and concerns of their constituents.  She critically engages with issues and views herself as an advocate for people whose voices are often not heard.

Heather has been vocal in her opposition of the recent round of school closures.  However, she is not a single-issue candidate. 

Heather believes that all children should receive a high quality education and that community schools should be sustained as a viable alternative in our district.  Heather is deeply concerned with strengthening EPSB commitment to wrap around services such as early childhood education and after school care.  Heather also plans to provide enhanced support to EPSB students, staff and administration in their efforts to create positive social and environmental change both locally and globally.

Heather will engage the public, other trustees, city council, administrators, and the provincial government in ongoing collaboration, thoughtful analysis and creative visioning."
